Description

Who Needs Sleep When the Night Calls

Call of the Night, or Yofukashi no Uta, is Kotoyama's story about Ko Yamori, a boy who can no longer sleep and starts wandering the streets after dark. One night he meets Nazuna Nanakusa, a carefree vampire who shows him how much freedom and fun the night can hold. With its dreamy city lights, offbeat humor and theme songs by the hip hop duo Creepy Nuts, the series turned late night walks into an art form. This collection brings its cast to the dakimakura format, printed on both sides.

The covers glow with the series' signature palette of deep purples, midnight blues and neon pinks, set against rooftops, streetlights and quiet city streets. Nazuna's laid back style and the other vampires who roam the city give every design a cool, nocturnal mood.

For a story about a boy who cannot sleep, it makes a surprisingly good bedtime companion. Wander through more series in the full catalog.
